DALLAS AORN LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
The Leadership Council is a volunteer group comprised of elected officers and volunteers have committed to “do what it takes to get the job done”. The Council responsible for planning and executing an engaging calendar of events.
Instead of establishing committees, Council members take responsibility for projects such as soliciting speakers for our continuing education presentations, fundraising, planning social events, establishing the chapter’s social media presence, and maintaining the chapter website.
For each project, Council members will solicit the assistance of Chapter members who participate in whatever way they can. This approach encourages members to participate when they have the time and expertise without having to make a long-term commitment.
The Leadership Council meets either in person or electronically in the months between chapter meetings. We hope to have one face-to-face strategic planning meeting during the summer to get each year off to a good start. If the Chapter is unable to elect a Secretary, secretarial duties can be rotated among the Council members as long as we use a consistent format for documentation.
